ERP Org Structure

  • Company code: AT this level, we can see valuation reports, it consolidates all inventories, purchasing activities of all plants, we can see profit and loss or revenue at this level
  • Plant: Inventories. We see stock positions and we can do material/product valuation here. we can do Valuation at plant level or ccd level
  • storage location: We maintain inventories at this level but don't valuate them
  • shipping point:is a place or location where the goods and services are delivered to the customers. One plant can have 1 or more shipping points
  • Loading group: As per shipping conditions maintained in the product master, we decide how the products will be loaded example, if we uses crane to load the products  then in this case Crane is loading group.
  • Shipping point will be maintained with reference to Shipping conditions and loading group in configuration.
  • WHno(3 digit): In warehouse, we deal with only quantities not any values. Also it links ERP to EWM. In ECC, there is no internal org structure of WH, everything is in EWM. We maintain WH specific parameters to connect ERP and EWM system.

  • Define object : Definations- at which level u will define
  • Assign objects: Assignment
  • Determine objects: Determinations

One mandatory business function is required to activate: With  business functions ,  SAP  provides new features and enhancements in self-contained units for your existing  SAP  installations. This enables you to use specific new features and enhancements for your various  business  processes.  For EWM, we need to activate LOG_LE_INTEGRATION for ECC and S/4 Embedded HANA environment as well.   The Warehouse consists of the following elements in the hierarchical structure − In EWM, you define storage bins for each storage type. EWM uses these to manage stock information about all products in the warehouse, at storage bin level.
